What Brewser stores, why, and how to remove it
This page explains what Brewser stores when you use accounts and cloud features. Brewser is operated from the EU and aims to keep to the spirit of the GDPR: collect little, be clear about it, and let you delete it.
If you never sign in, Brewser stores no personal account data about you — you can browse and run apps signed out. The rest of this page is about what happens once you do sign in.
Sign-in
Accounts are Google-backed — you sign in with Google, and Brewser never sees or stores a password. Sign-in is verified against Google directly (OpenID Connect); the only third-party network involved in authentication is Google's own endpoints.
To recognise you across sessions and devices, Brewser stores your Google account identifier (the "subject" id Google issues). This links your saves, leaderboard entries and achievements to you. If you publish apps, your developer profile also stores your email and display name. See Accounts & Sign-in for the sign-in side.
What's stored, by feature

| Cloud saves | Your save data for each app, linked to your account. Only you can read your own saves; an app only ever sees its own save box. |
| Leaderboards | The score and the display name you submit, linked to your account. Leaderboards are public — other players see your name and score. |

| Favourites & ratings | Which apps you've favourited or rated. |
| Publisher profile (if you publish) | The profile you create: display name, username, email, and anything you add — website, bio, donation link, avatar — plus your submission history. |
| Donations | Only a link you choose to show. No payment details ever touch Brewser — donating happens entirely on the service you link to. |
Anonymous, non-personal counts (an app's total downloads and ratings) are also kept, but they aren't tied to your identity.
Deleting your data
Several things you can remove yourself, today:
- A cloud save — an app can clear its own cloud save for you.
- A leaderboard entry — you can remove your own entry from a board.
- Ideas / comments you posted on the Ideas Board.
- A published app — you can unpublish or delete your submissions from the dashboard.
To delete your whole account and everything associated with it, contact the Brewser team through brewser.io; we action data-deletion requests within 30 days. Your data is kept only while your account is active — nothing here is sold or shared with third parties.
